Semi permanent Makeup

What's permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup also known as micropigmentation is the micro-implantation of colouring pigments into the skin for aesthetic purposes to enhance, contour, and outline facial features. It is also a valuable procedure for camouflaging scars, burns, skin pigmentation variances caused by vitiligo, Fordyce spots on lips, correcting some facial irregularities, or to further enhance facial rejuvenation and post-operative treatments.

Permanent makeup is permanent?

No! Permanent makeup is performed with the upper layer of skin (epidermis).

The pigments used will be removed by itself out of the skin during 1.5- 3 years.

This revolutionary technology differs from old permanent makeup methods because the pigments used to be inserted deeper in the second layer of the skin and permanent makeup tended to last 10 to 15 years with old methods used.

Permanent makeup is similar to tattooing?

Permanent makeup has some of the same qualities, yet it is very different!

Permanent makeup is performed with the upper layer of skin (epidermis), water based pigments are inserted into the first layer of the skin, while tattooing uses ink to be inserted deeper into the skin using different needles, different techniques and different dept.

Only specialists in micropigmentation can perform this procedure on the face, tattoo artists cannot.

I use techniques, tools, and pigments specifically designed for micropigmentation procedures, making it safe, sterile, and painless.

Instruments are more delicate in design that provide natural looking results.

What are the pigments used for permanent makeup?

I use safe colouring pigments approved by the European Regulatory Agencies whose guidelines are far stricter than the US FDA.

They are inert in nature and don’t interfere with the body’s chemistry.

Some other permanent makeup artists use pigments containing printer’s ink, heavy metals such as barium, aluminium or iron oxide, which fade quickly to a pink or greenish shade, and they can cause skin irritation when undergoing an MRI.

My pigments are safe, stay true to colour, fading gradually to a lighter shade over time.

Is permanent makeup safe?

Yes, this procedure is performed under sterile conditions, using only disposable needle cartridges and with digitally controlled implantation device. There are no long-term side effects. Short-term effects may include some redness, swelling, and tenderness.

How long the treatment takes?

The treatment takes between 2-3 hours.

Does semi-permanent makeup hurt?

The soreness of the treatment differs from person to person because the sensitivity also differs from person to person. It's recommended to avoid this procedure during your menstrual cycle if you are worried about the sensation as menstruation can heighten sensitivity.

Numbing cream is applied. Topical anaesthetics are highly effective to be applied to the treated area which significantly reduces discomfort. Normally, clients will report a tickling sensation with little or no discomfort during or after a procedure has been performed, some clients fall asleep during the procedure.

How is the desired look and colouring pigments determined?

I conduct an extensive consultation regarding both the exact shape and colouring desired.

I will recommend the specific treatment and shades to best complement your own skin tones, hair colour, wardrobe, and lifestyle.

Additionally, I will demonstrate expected shape by drawing and colouring with a pencil on you. If you're happy to move forwards the pigments are implemented into the skin.

Why am I different from other permanent makeup artists?

I specialize in giving clients a truly natural look. Your safety and satisfaction is my top priority.

I only use the safest and superior pigments as colouring agents.

My pigments meet standards set by the European Regulatory Agencies whose guidelines are far stricter than the US FDA, which currently does not regulate tattoo pigments.

My micropigmentation instruments are specifically designed for safe and effective permanent makeup application.

I'm committed to providing the best service, care, and desired results to every client.

Eyelash Extensions

What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent lashes that are hand-glued on top of your natural eyelashes.

Unlike strip lashes, eyelash extensions are glued on individually to your natural eyelashes,.

Eyelash extensions are customizable and look real.

What's the difference between eyelash extensions strip and cluster lashes?

Strip lashes and cluster lashes are more difficult to blend in with your natural lash line and they’re lower quality.

You’ll likely find cheaper rates for cluster lashes – and if you see them applied, you’ll see why.

Cluster lashes are applied to multiple eyelashes at once and the bases are usually bulky from the adhesive that holds them together, which causes follicle tension.

The natural eyelashes grow at different stages, the tension from the cluster can cause pain and premature lash loss.

Excessive glue leads to irritation and allergies and gives the eyelashes a clumped and heavy look. Due to cluster lashes being so wide, sometimes they are glued to the eyelid. This is extremely dangerous for the eye and skin.

The revolutionary eyelash extensions method is much safer than cluster lashes as they are applied to individual and isolated eyelashes.

Eyelash extensions are lighter, don’t weigh down or damage the natural eyelashes.

How long eyelash extensions last?

When well looked after, eyelash extensions can last for 4 to 6 weeks until they naturally fall out.

Our natural eyelashes grow, rest (mature phase) and shed in a continuous cycle, that's the reason why infills (maintenance) is necessary at least once a month.
Depending on your lash growth and aftercare.
Infills are recommended every 2/3 weeks after the initial application.

By coming regularly for maintenance you can have your eyelash extensions indefinitely.

Eyelash extensions cannot be washed during the first 24h after the procedure?

Eyelash extensions can be washed straight after the treatment. The adhesive formula has been changing thorough the years and nowadays we know that by the end of the treatment the adhesive is completely waterproof. In fact water is very beneficial to the adhesive as moisture is needed for the curing process.

Eyelash extensions are damaging to the natural eyelashes?
No, eyelash extensions don't damage natural eyelashes when applied correctly.
What will damage natural eyelashes is bad application and lack of knowledge from lash technicians, clients not following aftercare and not coming regularly for infills.
Seasonal clients not booking a removal when their eyelashes are old and outgrown.

What are infills?

Infills or touch ups is part of eyelash extensions maintenance and are recommended every 3 weeks after the maximum.

Why?
The health of your natural lashes is paramount, the extensions on outgrown lashes are removed and a new ones are applied on the root of your natural eyelashes.
Gaps where your lashes did shed will be filled up, new extensions are applied on new natural lashes.
Aftercare has a massive impact on retention and natural lashes health, is crucial that clients follow the aftercare, such as not picking eyelashes or rubbing your eyes for example.

Does the treatment feel painful and uncomfortable?
No way! The process is long but it doesn't hurt.
This treatment is actually very relaxing.
Eyelash Extensions treatment is also known as Beauty Sleep Therapy.
Most of clients take a nap during the procedure, others listen to podcasts or listen to music.

Does the eyelash extensions hurt or feel heavy?

No! Lash extensions applied properly NEVER hurt, feel heavy or clumpy!

Extensions are applied to your natural lashes, should never touch the skin or being glued to the neighbour ones.

How long the procedure does it take?
A full set of classic eyelash extensions can take 2-2.5h depending on the clients.

A full set of Russian Volume can take 3 hours.
We have between 100-200 natural eyelashes per eye.
I grab my set of tweezers to isolate the natural eyelashes. Then I hold one natural eyelash apart from all the other natural eyelashes while with the other tweezer I apply 1 extension to a single natural eyelash. I do this at least 150 times on each eye! I like to apply extensions to all the natural eyelashes so I believe I apply more than that.
1 extension must be applied only to one single natural eyelash!
It's a meticulous job. The direction of the extension has to bee ensured, the length, working in layers, the right amount of glue, the attachment, the lash map, the style, hand pressure, hand position, no stickies etc. By the end of the treatment all extensions need to be checked one by one, using tweezers, almost 300 lashes are checked!
This requires high levels of patience and skill.
All rules must be followed properly to offer a beautiful full set that will be comfortable and have a great retention! Perfection can't be rushed.
Good quality takes time.

My lashes are sparse/short/fine/curly – will that be a problem?

Most clients are good candidates for lash extensions, no matter what their concerns.

𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮
For best and most effective results I access every client individually and I create a unique styling.
My recommendation to you depends on your eyes shape, facial features, natural eyelashes as well as clients preferences and expectations.
For this reason no two set of lashes will look the same.
The final result depends on the amount of natural eyelashes the client has, the length & weight their natural eyelashes can support.
During the consultation I'll discuss a design that best suits you, I'll advise the best method, style, length and curl based on your natural eyelashes.

Do I need to prep my eyelashes before the appointments?

Yes. Ensure your eyelashes are squeaky clean – no traces of eye makeup – prior to your appointment.

Use an oil-free make up remover if possible, and rinse well.
